A Nod to Nautical on the Northwest Arm
Built in 1905, St. Mary’s Boat Club offers a unique event venue overlooking the Northwest Arm in Halifax’s South End. Formerly operated by the St. Mary’s Young Men’s Temperance and Benevolent Society, the Halifax Regional Municipality renovated the upstairs banquet hall in 1991 to create a warm, welcoming space for weddings, holiday parties, and corporate functions.
Neutral tones create a blank canvas easily adaptable to any décor, while beams, arches, and columns bring structure and style. Hardwood floors and a built-in stage are perfect for dancing the night away, and the wrap-around deck offers ample space to soak in tranquil sea views. Celebrate surrounded by nature under shady trees at the water’s edge. Want to really make some waves? Guests have been known to make their grand entrance by boat!
Events at St. Mary’s Boat Club
With space for 200 at a sit-down dinner, or 300 for a reception, guests will have access to ample free parking. We’ll take advantage of the on-site kitchen to serve up a custom menu designed to compliment your event and create a uniquely East Coast experience.
